Dog Bites

Dog owners have a duty to keep their dogs from doing harm to other people and/or their property.  When a dog bites, its owner is liable for the resulting injuries and damages; in Utah, this is the case even if the dog has not bitten before, and even if the dog has not previously shown signs of vicious or mischievous tendencies or behavior.  Dog bites can lead to infection, cause nerve damage and scarring, and increase risk for serious illness and death.

Frequently, victims of dog bites are often related to or are friends with the dog owner, which, initially, can make things particularly awkward for the victim to pursue compensation for injuries.  Often times, however, a dog bite victim does not have to sue the owner to obtain compensation for injuries at all.  Call “The Redd Lawyer” today to find out how.  He will handle your dog bite case with sensitivity and care and will do his best to help keep your familial relationships and friendships intact.
